As you all know, the transmission rate of an AP can be adjusted through the user interface. First, I manually set the transmission rate at 5.5Mbps in two APs of different vendors. Then I use Airopeek to sniffer their beacons. I found that the data shown at the data rate column was very weird. One was 5.5Mbps and the other always shows 1Mbps. So which one is actually correct? Or is it depends on the vendor implementation? Thanks~
