    Re:  If it were possible to make a radio signal almost like a laser beam, and focus it exactly so that you could capture the exact amount of energy that was launched, you would indeed have a system with zero path loss.                       

    If a laser beam would cause zero FSPL how do you calculate a lesser focus like when using a directional antenna?
