Any News on WAPI - the Chinese Security Protocol?

    Starting in the early 2000's, the Chinese announced they were going to require WAPI on anything manufactured in China.

    I know they never enforced this, but I was wondering if any products in other countries have started using this protocol , especially on anything other than cell phones.
