    Your first Oct 1, 2010 date is correct. That's when the new requirements for CWNE go into effect.  That is also the *projected* date for availability of the new CWAP (PW0-270) exam.  Then the *projected* date for the CWDP exam PW0-250 is Jan 1, 2011.

    So, technically, you're right that no new CWNEs will emerge between Oct 1, 2010 and Jan 1, 2011.

    The study guides for both of these certifications are scheduled to arrive in December 2010.
