Anyone heard of and interested in IEEE's wireless cert?

    Everyone knows wireless standards developed by the IEEE, but do you know the wireless certification developed by the IEEE?

    According to IEEE ComSoc, [b]Wireless Communication Engineering Technologies (WCET)[/b] cert helps wireless professionals get recognized as having the required knowledge, skill, and ability to meet today and tomorrow's wireless challenges.

    WCET is not the only professional cert the IEEE has developed (the other three are CBP, CSDA, and CSDP), but it is the only wireless cert the IEEE currently promotes.

    What I'm interested in is: any intersection with CWNP certs and WCET cert?

    The Devinator wrote a good blog post on the IEEE's WCET back in 2008, shortly after the cert was released. The title gives you the general idea: "WCET is for System Designers"

    Likewise, I was very interested in this cert until I saw all the emphasis on cell phone, and other non Wi-Fi. Technologies.

    It's not that I'm not interested, but I just don't have the time.

    The antenna polarization issues are still interesting. My company spends quite a bit of time on antennas, but that is another department, so I don't get in on that except after-the-fact.
