802.11n is a salesman's dream, due to "issues" like this. Terminology can be used and abused in so many different ways.

"What do you mean, how fast can 802.11n go ?.......this is a 4 x 4 !!"

"Yes, but I really don't understand .....4 times what ?"

"Look, if I gave you one bar of chocolate, wouldn't four be better ...?"

"Well......."

"It's called a 4 x 4 because it's like a 4 x 4 SUV....lots of power and lots of range....why do you think it's called a 4 x 4 ?....now how many do you want to buy ?"

"Well......."

"Look at it another way, 4 x 4 is sixteen !! Common sense tells you that you can now replace 16 of your old AP's with this......otherwise why would they have that little "times" or "x" sign in the middle ?"

"Tell you what....you buy one of these and I'll even take your 16 old AP's and get rid of them for you...can't get better than that..."
