How long are the aisles, how full are the shelves, and how consistent will this amount of shelf loading (or filling) be? If the loading varies a lot, it's going to be very tough to keep performance consistent with manual methods.
Cisco has a great white paper (somewhere) talking about channel re-use, and how poor things (eg throughput) get when you use something other than channels 1, 6, and 11.
BTW forklifts can be a big source of interference. Also, radios attached to forklifts can have a tough time roaming because they can move so quickly.
