Thanks, GTHill - there's a lot on that pdf. I had come up with something similar for study but nowhere this complete.
Frankly, I was shocked at my grade. I didn't expect to get to do very well but honestly I was going to give up. I figured after the effort I put in only rated 53%, maybe I'm just too old to learn much new.
Here's my breakdown:
PHY - 40%
Real world - 42 %
Prot Analyzer & trace interpretation - 72 %
MAC frames & exchange processes - 54 %
Performance/security/intrusion - 50%
I've ordered 802.11 Wireless Networks: The Definitive Guide. I've seen that title mentioned in several other posts.

- any suggestions besides the obvious will be GREATLY appreciated.
