    Compughter: the server-side certificate is for AUTHENTICATION SERVER authentication, not client authentication.

    Let's dig deeper and get more specific. If both use MS-CHAPv2 for authentication, what varies in how it is used in each (OTHER than the fact that with PEAP, MS-CHAPv2 is inside the TLS tunnel)?
