Has anyone ever exprience WEP cracking using other tool than airsnort? Were you successful?

Use WepAttack to launch a brute force attack from a kisimet dump on Linux.

aircrack works even better

aircrak is asking to read some IVs from a sepecified pcap file!
Can someone tell me what is pcap file, and how can I find it?

Just think of a pcap file as a traffic dump from a packet sniffer like Ethereal.

Those WEP cracking packages like WEPCrack parse these raw traffic dump files.
