  • GT has explained this to me before and it makes sense, but I still have a problem with it.

    I don't like the use of the word "attenuation" and I think that makes it deceptive for a test question. I mean, what would someone be trying to prove by asking a question like that? That someone can calculate a link budget for a microwave shot? That they can understand a site survey? That they can perform a useful spectrum or protocol analysis? No, no and no. You're testing that the test taker heard a speech by Joe Bardwell or that they're one of the 98 readers of this thread. And you're taking a word that has an accepted industry meaning and twisting it into a more broad meaning just so that test takers might lose another point on a test.
