  • lol...understood, and thanks for the reply. The restaurant does own the pole and we can run power to it. Our budget is somewhat tight, trying to save money as the comcast install was a little expensive. Trying to keep it in the $300-$500 range.

    For now I was thinking of putting a NEMA enclosure on the pole which would house the router and cable modem, and running a short cable to a directional antenna. I was also thinking along the same lines of putting an additional router in the restaurant, acting as a repeater.

    Getting the cable link put in has been a 6 month process, they've been waiting on Internet for years, so this will power everything. Primary use will be customers.

    The restaurant is in Dumfries, VA, probably a good 90 minutes south of Baltimore (with good traffic!). I'll pm you with more specific info.
