even i was curious about their working......in the CWNA V3 its given that these switches can be placed at the core or the edge of the network...do all the wireless switches provide PoE ? what is the difference between a Edge PoE switch and a Wireless LAN switch as given in figure 7.38 pg no 283. After reading the topic what i could figure out is that the access point hardware is placed in the wireless switch itself.Only the antenna (also known as thin access point......there might be more than "just an antenna") is connected to the ethernet PoE connector...
can someone help me out with the explanation with more clarity...
