After having just achieved CWNA and now working on CWSP I have "some" understanding of the articles I read about 802.16. Is there any thought or posts on vendor neutral certifications for WiMAX?

The CWNP Program is dedicated strictly to 802.11 technology - at least for the forseeable future. There are many promising new technologies, such as WiMAX, RFID, Bluetooth, and others. Some are more popular than others, and they all have their place, but WiFi is the one wireless technology that we feel is sustainable for a long time to come. We're going to focus purely on 802.11x (meaning all of the 802.11 standards).
